Frequently Asked Questions
Is there additional footage on DVD that is not available for download?
No. There is no additional footage contained within the DVD's available for purchase as we have all clips freely available to download. The DVD's are available to cater for site users with no broadband conection with which to download the video clips. However, the picture quality of the clips on DVD is greatly superior to downloadable clips due to efforts made to limit file size.
Is payment for DVDs secure?
Yes. When you click on the relevant 'PAY NOW' button for the DVD you wish to purchase, you will be redirected to Paypal's secure web checkout page. Here you can either pay via Paypal using your existing Paypal account or using a one off payment with your credit card.
What if the location that I wish to view is not on Wondras?
A unique feature of Wondras is the ability for visitors to the site to have a direct influence on the videos available for download. If you select 'VOTE' from the menu on any site page, you will have the opportunity to vote for additional locations to be added. Users can vote once in every 24 hours from any single computer and also keep track of the vote count for each location; when this count reaches 5000, we will shoot a video and add it to the site.
Are the photos in the galleries all taken in Scotland?
Yes. Every photo present within the picture galleries was taken by Wondras within Scotland. If you wish to find out the picture's location, please feel free to contact us and we will gladly let you know.
Are the photos and video clips on the site protected by copyright?
Yes. All clips and photos are protected by copyright. If you have a use for them that is other than personal, please contact us to request permission.
Some locations you have filmed look rather quiet, are these places always like this?
Scotland is predominantly a summer tourist destination and as such quietens down somewhat during the winter. Some of the videos were shot during winter and subsequently may appear less busy than they would be during the summer months. In the future, we aim to provide videos of locations at all times of year.
Some locations on Wondras appear quite bleak?
The purpose of Wondras video clips is to let people know what a location within Scotland actually looks like. We feel that a picture postcard image does not give a feel for what a place is actually like. We give no consideration to weather or avoiding certain unaesthetic locations in order to give a flavour of a place if one were to actually visit.
